A Facility Water Loss Check You Can Run This Week
How to tell whether your building loses water at night, and what that means.
Most facility water loss shows up best when the building is quiet. Record the meter at the end of operations and again before start-up, with irrigation off, and compare. That overnight figure is your baseline loss.
Repeat it for a week. A steady overnight loss points to a pressurized line. Loss that only follows irrigation windows points outside. Loss that follows production points to process water. Rain correlation points to the envelope.
Bring that pattern to the investigation. It turns a general survey into targeted work and usually shortens the time to a located source.
